Blacking plug will protect your connectors in your wiring harness, by not leaving them exposed to the elements once the o2 sensors have been removed from the bike.
As with most modern Yamaha bikes its advisable to remove the O2 sensor(s) after you have had the ECU flashed, this is the perfect solution.
